In this blog, we are going to explain the scope of the Form D exemption so that it is possible for you to understand the tariff rate and successfully plan the budget for the materials that are the oxygen lance pipes.
Certificate of Origin Form D
Certificate of Origin (C/O) form D is a paper issued by the competent authority of the exporting country for goods exported to countries in ASEAN. This is also a form of the C/O for imported and exported goods subject to preferential treatment for members in the CEPT Agreement. Accordingly, the importer will submit C/O to the customs office, which will enjoy import duty incentives (mostly 0%). Therefore, when exporting goods to Southeast Asian countries, importers will require the exporter to provide this C/O.
Applying Online C/O form D
Vietnam officially implemented the exchange of C/O form D through the ASEAN Single Window from January 1st, 2018. According to the General Department of Customs, within the framework of implementing the ASEAN Single Window, in order to facilitate businesses and related parties in the process of carrying out Customs procedures using electronic C/O form D. From August 1, 2021, the General Department of Customs has implemented a function that allows businesses and related parties to look up the status of electronic certification of origin form D. In order to implement the above function effectively, the General Department of Customs requested the Customs Departments of provinces and cities to notify enterprises carrying out relevant Customs procedures to know and guide the use of the above function. At the same time, actively use the above function and review and report problems (if any).Organizations can prepare directly at https://khaibaohoso.vnsw.gov.vn/common/COFormDTracking
