In short, Calorizing is the process of diffusing aluminum into steel surfaces. When the atmospheric temperature rises to 1,000 degrees, a heat resistant aluminum-iron alloy is formed on the surface of the steel pipe, which is called a calorized layer.

CA Lance stands for Calorized Lance, a type of heat-resistant lance pipe that has calorized layers and refractory ceramic coatings on both inner and outer surfaces of the pipes. Due to its strong resistance against high heat and oxidation, CA Lance is often used for injecting oxygen and carbon during the steel making process in electric furnaces.

The word “SC” in the name means “Self-Consuming”. SC lances are mainly used for removing stuck slag on converters, cleaning tap holes on BF (Blast Furnace) and slag doors on EAF (Electric Arc Furnace). First, we select HRC as a suitable material for lancing, then we manufacture SC lances by ourselves using high frequency electric resistance welding equipment.

Thermic Lances are made of MS pipes filled with steel wires (Type W) or steel wires and inner tubes (Type T). The product creates extremely high temperatures up to 3,000 ~ 4,000 degrees and is used to cut heavy scrap or clean up spilled iron/slag.

Ceramic Coated Lance Pipe is a lance pipe made of carbon mild steel pipe with refractory coating on both inner and outer surface of the pipe. Ceramic Coated Lance Pipe is used for oxygen and carbon injection in electric furnaces, but with a lower yield than CA Lance.
Daiwa Calorized Lance Pipes gain considerable advantage of having both Aluminum Diffusion (Calorizing) and Ceramic Coating inside and outside of the pipes. This makes them 3 to 10 times more durable and longer lasting than normal lance pipes.

https://www.daiwalance.com.vn/en/inquiryDue to the extended lifespan of CA lance pipes, steel mill consumption of lance pipes will be reduced from 3 to 10 times when switching from carbon mild steel pipe to CA Lance Pipe. A mill can also save on transportation costs, labor costs, and heating time because less lance pipe needs to be shipped and replaced during furnace operation.

Daiwa Lance supplies two types of Thermic Lance: Type-T and Type-W.
With a mixture of wires and an inner pipe, Type-T produces a straight flame at high speed, which makes it excellent for cutting steel scraps, slags, aluminum, and cast iron.
On the other hand, with a full pack of wires, Type-W produces a wider flame at higher temperature, which makes it ideal for making holes in high melting point materials such as stainless steel, copper, brass, and refractory bricks.

In addition to Lancing Products such as CA Lance, SC Lance, Thermic Lance, Ceramic Coated Lance Pipe, and Aluminum Lance Pipe, Daiwa Lance also provides Color Pipe - a robust corrosion-resistant white pipe used in agriculture as a winding shaft.
Daiwa Lance can supply customers with our own designed lance holder, hydraulic coupling press machines and other accessories if required.

The calorized layer has a melting point of 2,050 degree Celsius. When Calorized Lance Pipes are exposed to the high temperature, the calorized layer forms a heat-resistant aluminum oxide over the surface of the pipe and protects steel against severe oxidation.
Our products are manufactured in Vietnam. We can arrange the delivery by maritime containers or by trucks depending on your location. For large quantities, we use 20' or 40' containers to stuff cargo and ship it to you. For small quantities, we use an LCL service to load your cargo together with others' cargo in a container. Besides, we have a stock of lance pipes in Europe and Japan where the cargo can be delivered quickly to your place by trucks.
