Coupling

In piping and plumbing, coupling is a short pipe or tube used to connect the ends of two or several pipes together for the purpose of maintaining the continuity between them. 

In the melting phase of steelmaking or scrap pretreatment, coupling is particularly used to maximize efficiency and reduce excessive consumption incurred when the leftovers of lance pipes are not handled effectively. 

In Daiwa Lance, there are 3 types of couplings commonly used for above-mentioned purposes. 

  • 1. Thread Coupling (also known as socket)
