Flux

Flux is a chemical agent used in metalworking, soldering, and welding to improve metal processing. Flux prevents oxidation, removes impurities, and enhances welding and soldering by creating a protective layer, eliminating contaminants, and improving metal adhesion.

flux

Specifically, it serves three primary functions:

Prevents Oxidation – Flux creates a protective layer, reducing metal oxidation during melting.

Removes Impurities – It helps eliminate slag, dirt, and unwanted substances from molten metal.

Enhances Welding & Soldering – Flux improves adhesion, ensuring strong and clean metal joints.

Common Types of Flux

  • Aluminum Flux – Used in aluminum casting to refine molten metal.
  • Soldering Flux – Essential in electronics for clean, efficient solder joints.
  • Welding Flux – Helps stabilize the arc and remove contaminants in welding.

Using the right flux boosts metal quality, efficiency, and durability in industrial applications.
