Mild Steel

Mild steel, also known as low carbon steel or plain carbon steel, is a type of steel that contains a relatively low amount of carbon.

Mild steel, while not possessing the same strength as high tensile steel, offers its own set of advantages as well as disadvantages. One of its limitations lies in its lower tensile strength compared to other steel variants. However, mild steel compensates for this with its good elongation properties, allowing it to be easily formed and shaped during manufacturing processes. This makes it highly versatile and suitable for a wide range of applications such as construction, automotive, and manufacturing where the focus is on malleability and formability rather than sheer strength.
