Refractory

The term "refractory" refers to materials that are able to withstand high temperatures and resist thermal shock without breaking down.

In industrial settings, refractory materials are commonly used for furnace linings, kilns, and other high-temperature processing equipment.

One example of a refractory material is a ceramic coating applied to a lance pipe used in steelmaking.

This refractory ceramic coating provides excellent thermal insulation and resistance to the inner and outer environment, allowing the lance pipe to withstand the extreme heat and harsh conditions of the steelmaking process. With its good refractory characteristics, a ceramic-coated lance pipe can help improve steelmaking efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
