Weak demand keeps HRC prices relatively stable although supply is limited due to fire incidents at major European manufacturers.

China
Domestic HRC prices in China decreased by Yuan 40/t ($6/t) to Yuan 4,070/t ($592/t) on Apr 15th. Export HRC prices are also down by $15/t to $665/t FOB China port, compared to a week earlier. Besides that, weak demand in the construction area led to domestic rebar prices being reduced by Yuan 70/t ($10/t) to Yuan 4,040/t ($588/t).
Japan
Japanese export scrap prices (H2 grade) were reduced by Yen 4,880/t ($37/t) to Yen 50,556/t ($397/t) on Apr 11th compared to one month before, and that is the lowest price since January but not many transactions this week. Domestic scrap prices at Yen 51,500/t ($387/t), also down Yen 1,000/t ($8/t) from one month ago.
Europe
Domestic HRC prices keep stable compared to one week earlier at EUR 855/t in Northern Europe on Apr 12th. And HRC prices at EUR 850/t in Italy, upward EUR 5/t on the week. Weak demand keeps HRC prices relatively stable although supply is limited due to fire incidents at major European manufacturers.
America
The price of US domestic HRC was at $1,298/MT ($1,180 per short ton) on Apr 06th, rising up by $17/MT compared with a few days ago. Demand is still stable. Meanwhile, the US ferrous scrap price at $634/t ($566 per gross ton), increased by $ 11/ton ($10 per gross ton) compared to Marc but the market was quiet during the week.
Aluminum billet (6063 & 6060) import prices at Brazil at $385/t CIF main port on April.06, was down $40/t compared to one month before. Meanwhile, import billet prices at $390/t CIF, increase by $15/t from the previous month. Construction is still under pressure with the high-interest rate but the demand still is going well.
Viet Nam
A major steelmaker in Viet Nam announced to reduce HRC price for Jun delivery by $40/t to $692/t CIF HCM. Meanwhile, import HRC prices was at $640/t CFR on Apr 14th, decreased by $20/t compared last week. The domestic real estate and construction market remains gloomy.
